The book is the journey from complete shut-down into my personal freedom.This was a 30-day challenge, arranged by my friend, and it inspired me so much that I decided to make it into a book. I hope you will also enjoy reading it, and, who knows, probably, you might decide to try some of the ideas for yourself. The majority ofpeople have adream, which can be accomplished within aweek. But they make it into the dream ofwhole life (an unkown author)



How many wishes and dreams are getting covered with thick layer ofdust inthe backyard ofyour heart? As for me Ihave lots ofthem, forgotten and forsaken. Amountain ofwishes, tobe honest.

So, once (although Ididnt know then, WHAT it will all turn into), my friend Assel declared that she starts a30-days challenge Say YES tothe NEW things.



The rules were simple: totry something absolutely new every single day during this period, or try doing usual things inan unusual way. Bythe end ofthe day we were publishing the report about our experiences.



Ijust took my wishes which had been put away long time ago, forgotten and forlorn, and put them into the Accomplishing machine (this is how Icall the principle ofour Challenge functioning). Toput into the Accomplishing machine means todeclare your intention totry and manage something within one day, and then, willy-nilly, everything goes towards the set goal (not without your active participation, ofcourse).



And every day my old patterns and beliefs about what Ican and what Ican not do were thrown up inthe air, broken and torn.



Clouds ofdust. The old construction ofbeliefs was getting ruined.

And then this dust was washed away with the rocking waves ofthe New life, coming into my reality inmore and more interesting ways.



Are you craving for real happiness? The recipe for it is simple, and it is accomplished insuch aproject.

Even from the point ofview ofhormones ofhappiness, there is acomplete cocktail:

joyful anticipation ofsomething new every day dopamine;

fulfillment ofthe plan, sometimes at the limit ofyour possibilities (the flow) dopamine;

feeling like awinner inany case testosterone;

recognition ofthis victory, support ofthe group serotonin and oxytocin.



As aresult, you get the fabulous sensation: Ican do whatever Iwant. It may take more than one day todo something, but thank God Ican still do alot!



Yes, it will take more than one day toreach agoal, requiring regular actions during longer period (getting rich, buying ahouse for amillion dollars, getting inshape or building ideal relationships). Then, the formula will be abit different: 1day +1day +1day + = result. The question is simply what these days are filled with: actions towards the goal or inaction? Are they filled with reeadiness totake lessons and move on, or with apathy?



The main trophy that you receive byfulfilling your long-standing one-step dreams (totry, tolearn, tolaunch aproject everything what requires just one decisive step) is the solid belief that you can do more than you always thought about yourself.

Its like an affirmation Ican do everything! Iam capable and smart. Iam rich and successful. You can pronounce these statements over 1000times aday, but if you dont take action, if you dont really take steps toconfirm these beliefs, then all these words will remain just words.



So the only thing that COUNTS inthe implementation ofdreams is your ACTION. Challenge helps you enter the state ofthe game when you either just do or complicate and avoid doing.



You start tothink: How can Iimplement my dream with the opportunities available? If this was all agame, what would Ido?

For example, you have along-standing dream ofvisiting Mexico.

You can dream all your life and never get tothis beautiful land, or, you can get alot ofimpressions about people, culture, music, cuisine and traditions ofthe Aztec country inone day without leaving your home.How?

Yes, Iagree, this is not areal journey. But, if you try todo your best managing what you are ABLE toMANAGE, then you will get REAL impressions about this country (the taste and aroma offood, the rhythms ofmusic and songs, the manner oflocal communication ). Yes, the trip is unreal, but the IMPRESSIONS you get are REAL! Isnt it marvelous?

So, what is better todream all your life about some beautiful faraway country and never get there, or toimmerse into the ocean ofimpressions, which are available right now? It is just the question ofcreativity.



So, inthe following chapters Iwill share impressions ofmy 30-day adventure, based on the photos and text ofmy Instagram posts.

Afew words about myself: Iam a37years old Russian mom oftwo kids (4and 2years old), living inYekaterinburg. Iam married toasuper-patient hero. We have no assistance with kids and household, so everything is run byme and my husband. Ihave ablog on Instagram (@natasha_idi), where Ishare the insights from books Ive read. DAY1









Some doors are forever closed, while others open inthe most unexpected places (TV series Game ofThrones)

The idea ofchallenge is totry something new every day, and then write about my feelings.

So, my task for today is to2X-slow down my usual speed ofdoing things. Todo everything 2times slower.



Oh, if you only knew what kind off challenge it is for me! But Isaid tomyself: Whatever Imanage today- is enough, even if it is just small things. Anyway, Ialways can catch up tomorrow.



Bythe way, today Ive recorded anew episode ofthe Teitelbaums book The Complete Guide toBeating Sugar Addiction. Today Iwas speaking slower than usual, and this is also not easy).



So, Iam reporting from the image ofNatakha-the-Turtle: daylight is coming toan end. Slowing down is difficult. As if amad racehorse is trying todash somewhere, and you tell tothis horse: You are not aHorse, you are aTurtle today. And the inner Horse says: Whaaaat?

Sometimes Iforget and slide into the usual frantic electric broom mode.



INSIGHTS:



1.Slowly does not mean inefficient. It simply means giving your body more time toadequately respond tobrain impulses.

2. You are taught what acceptance is, while practicing the slow-mo: accepting my choice todo it exactly as Ichose. It is about the acceptance ofthe natural flow ofevents.

3. Ifound the way toheal my long-term wound which is called I-Never-Have-Time). Irealized that if you do something not according toyour usual behavioral template, then the template gets broken. If, for example, you are afraid todo something, then according tothe habitual pattern your usual reaction would be toget frightened and never do the feared action. But when you decide togo into your fear, it would break the routine habits.

Or when you think that you dont have time, and you accelerate even more tocatch up with your plans this would be within the typical behavioral template. And if on the contrary, you slow down despite the usual reactions you are breaking the mould.




DAY2









Change something inyour life! Sit on the TV and watch the sofa (An unknown author)


Ididnt take my photo today for Instagram posting, and it was because ofthe challenge. Todays task is todo everything with the left hand. Well, the makeup today was also made with the left hand. Iwould rather prefer not toshow the results ofthis art tothe public.

Istarted towrite todays morning pages also with my left hand. And, Ihave toadmit, Ihave never seen such ugly ornatenesses)









Iheard that switching toyour opposite develops neuroplasticity.

The positive init all is that you suddenly come tounderstand HOW valuable is your right hand (leading hand). Ialso felt like achild who is just learning todo something. It helps tounderstand your own children better and not scold them for their imperfection.

Todays task: toread abook inaday. YES! 700pages inan EPUB reader (Unlock you: Be Calm, Confident and Happy injust 10Minutes ADay, Andy Barker, Beth Wood).

Im not aspead-reader, Im even not standing near such aperson.







Was it difficult? Yes, Ihad togive up all my favorite routines inthe morning (sports, morning pages, online learning). Yes, and the house chores are paused. (Tomorrow Ill catchup).

One ofthe side-effects more carbohydrates were eaten than necessary. Apparently, the brain inthis mode requested compensation.



What are the insights?







It is feasible toread abook inaday, if you set it as your goal. But it is rather stressful toread insuch away permanently, even if this is abook on how tocope with stress.

Everything is possible if you set agoal and do not lose the focus. And this applies not only toreading books.
